AMF PANEL
amf pANEL (Automatic Mains Failure Panel)
Electrical Panel which manages switching of D.G set is called AMF Panel. Full Form of AMF Panel is Automatic Mains Failure Panel.
When there is unavailability of Main Power from the Grid Source our AMF Panel senses the loss and automatically trigger the DG Set to provide Electrical Supply to the Load End. Once the DG runs on Complete RPM our smart AMF Panel will switch on the Contactor which supplies the Energy to Load End / Electrical Appliances using Incoming & Outgoing Switchgear as a Electrical Safety throughout the Industry or High End Houses. These type of AMF Panel are used in Industries both for Internal & external use therefore they are quite rugged to withstand different Climate conditions.
AMF (Automatic Mains Failure) panel is an electrical control panel that monitors the incoming electrical power supply from the mains and automatically switches the load to an alternative power source, such as a backup generator, in the event of a power outage or interruption. The AMF panel is commonly used in industrial and commercial settings, such as data centers, hospitals, and manufacturing facilities, to ensure uninterrupted power supply to critical equipment and systems. The panel typically includes various components such as circuit breakers, relays, timers, and sensors to detect and respond to changes in the power supply. The AMF panel also provides real-time monitoring and diagnostic information on the power supply and backup generator status to ensure reliable and efficient operation
AMF Panel are designed for meeting criticality of Power System which includes uninterrupted power supply with 2 or more DG Sets. It Provides circuitry protection for the infrastructure of Social or Commercial values like Hospitals, Data Centers, Malls ,Multistory residential housing, Hotels, Industries etc…. AMF Panel work in both Automatic & Manually mode using PLC for 2 or more DG sets. Diesel Generator synchronization is a process of matching technical electrical parameters such as
• Voltage
• Frequency
• Phase Angle
• Phase Sequence
• Waveform
All the above parameters need to be synchronized before it get connected to the Load end. Electrical Panel which manages triggering of D.G Set (Low Tension) using ACB, MCCB is called AMF Panel.
LT Distribution Panel received Power either from DG Set (Generator) or Electricity Board and manage to deliver the same to the Load End / Electrical Appliances using Incoming & Outgoing Switchgear as a Electrical Safety throughout the Industry or High End Houses. These type of LT Panel are used in Industries both for Internal & external use therefore they are quite rugged to withstand different Climate conditions.
The AMF Panel is an electrical panel that helps in controlling Power to various Electrical Equipment’s such as Machinery, AC units, VRV Units, furnace etc… It is typically located in an industrial setting and is used to control and protect electric equipment’s.
The AMF Panel includes features like Overload Protection, Short Circuit Protection & helps in controlling Power operations from Remote areas. AMF Panel is designed as Centralized control Centre for Multiple types of Load and make the system easy to manage & Monitor the operations from one Location. AMF Panel is usually divided into compartments so that various components can be arranged as per the Load requirements. These AMF Panel are designed either Fixed Module or Withdraw type Modules. Fixed Modules are Permanent where as Withdraw Modules are removed at the time of Maintenance without interrupting other Power supply.
List of Some Common Features of AMF Panel are :-
Automatic Start/Stop: The AMF Panel helps in Automatically Starts & Stops the Generators depending upon Electricity Supply from Electricity Board.
Real-time Monitoring: The panel has a monitoring system to measure the voltage, current, frequency, and power output of the generator.
Automatic Transfer Switch: The panel has an automatic transfer switch that switches the load from the mains power supply to the backup generator in the event of a power failure.
Engine Protection: The panel has features to protect the generator engine from damage due to overloading, overheating, and low oil pressure.
Manual Control: The panel has manual control options to allow the operator to start/stop the generator and adjust the settings manually.
Battery Charger: The AMF panel includes a battery charger to keep the generator battery charged and ready for use in case of a power failure.
Fault Indication: The panel has alarms and fault indication lights to alert the operator in case of any faults or errors.
Remote Control: The panel can be controlled remotely using a computer or a mobile device, allowing for easy monitoring and control of the backup generator.
Synchronization: In case of multiple generators, the AMF panel also has synchronization features to ensure that the generators are in phase with the main power supply before they are connected to the grid.
Load Management: The panel includes load management features to prioritize critical loads and manage the power supply to different areas in the event of a power failure.
